| Bwlchgwyn is one
of the few places to have kept a bright red telephone kiosk (although I
noticed that the telephone kiosk on Cefn Road has gone). Since the Post
Office closed, the letter box bar-in-the-wall has been replaced by a red
pillar box on the hairpin bend, near the War Memorial, but I always think
it looks slightly lopsided Bwlchgwyn

| The King's Head Inn, Bwlchgwyn
(18/6/2005), standing on the crossroads of Ruthin Road, Fronheulog Hill
and Brymbo Road. Until about the 60's, this was an inn with a small
cottage attached (on the right). Do you remember the old air raid shelter
that used to be in the garden, where the car park is now? Bwlchgwyn

This is, according to the photograph, B Company, 10th Platoon, Air Force,
Llandegla. Does anyone know who the men are? The pictures below might
help!

This picture is connected with the pictures above: the
location is a very snowy Llandegla, on the right is a typical corrugated
iron hut, and the man in the picture was probably known to my uncle,
Harold Belton.
