Brooklyn Stores and Garage

I must have been about nine years old when this picture was taken. As you can see, we sold Esso Petrol and Castrol Oil, but we sold a lot of other things as well.

Dad at Brymbo Steelworks

Bill Belton at Brymbo Steel Works. Dad drove a dumper truck and worked in the maintenance department. (slightly damaged photograph)

Dad with labradors and sheep

Dad always lived in Bwlchgwyn and he knew everyone. Once he had retired, the labradors (first Kim, then these two - Sam and Jed) were taken for at least two long walks a day, usually down to Glascoed Road and Nant-Y-Ffrith. Here they are on the drive, near the lodge on Glascoed Road, it's a bit foggy and the sheep seem to need some help to find the way home!

Dad with Sam and Jed

A lovely picture of dad with the two labradors, Sam and Jed, on one of those long walks!

Dance Hall

At a dance hall, probably 1949, Bill (William Arthur) Belton
