This is just a part of the family tree, the generations are all colour coded, the direct line is in Bold. We now know for certain that our William Ellery was not the son of Richard Ellery and Susan Harris, but we still can't trace his family. It is more likely that he was the nephew William Bray, but whether William's sister, Elizabeth, is the same Elizabeth who married Nicholas Ellery has not been clarified.

Nicholas Ellery, hatter, married Elizabeth Ellery at Mawgan in Pydar, Cornwall (Elizabeth appears to have been the widow of Nicholas' brother, Richard Ellery of Mawgan in Pydar).
